22 months - we estimate Esther's word count to be up around 80-90 words at present, making communication much easier. She can now tell us she wants to 'eat sandwich', 'go outside' and many other useful phrases. Its so amazing to witness her becoming her own little person with definite likes and dislikes. Peppa Pig is still number one in Esther's world and she was lucky enough to receive two Peppa bags for Christmas, and a Peppa book. Christmas Day was a bit overwhelming for her - perhaps Mum and Dad bought too many presents for her (there is still one unopened we may save for birthday). We spent a lovely week at the coast with Bianca's parents, swimming, napping, playing in the renovated cubby house (with new safety measures that weren't around for their own children). Esther also had her first soft serve on New Years Eve and keep occasionally asking for 'icey'' in a wistful tone :-)
